Teddington Library to reopen

Teddington Library in the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames has been closed since November 2008 for a complete internal refurbishment. The work has now been completed and the Library will re-open on Tuesday 28 April at 10am.

Bad weather in March delayed the project which was orginally due for completion by the end of March. An official launch is set to take place on May 20th.

The new library includes an extension which has increased the public space and allowed the installation of comfortable seating area . Other improvements include a disabled exit, better access to the garden and brand new toilet facilities as well as a separate teen section of the library and a new Young Adult book collection.

The work was carried out following an extensive consultation process.
