Designing Libraries discussion list for opinion and information on library building and design

Need help and advice from others in the same design boat?

Our email discussion list will help you do just that.

Whether you are a librarian planning your first library, a planner with a dozen libraries in your authority to design, or an architect taking on a library project - sign up and swap experiences and resources, and seek help and feedback on your design questions.

The Designing Libraries mailing list and the JISC Library Design list have now merged, giving subscribers to both lists access to a wider range of opinion and information on library building and design.

The Designing Libraries list was mainly concerned with the public library sector, whilst JISC Library Design concentrated on the further and higher education sector. Designing Libraries is now extending its remit to cover library buildings in other sectors and with the list owner for LIBRARY-DESIGN unable to continue this seemed a good time to give both sets of subscribers a wider platform for their opinions and enquiries.

The merged list will continue to be called LIBRARY-DESIGN. We look forward to creating this new enlarged forum for sharing information and opinion on library design, but only you as our subscribers can make it successful.

If you have any problems or queries, please email info@designinglibraries.org.uk.
